few years the Ministry of Environment has established a special fund called the Fund for Sustainable Development ", in order to finance projects of information and environmental protection. In this regard, in a recent directive of the Ministry is promoting a contract with the aim to support projects in environmental education and sustainable development. In particular, it plans to allocate € 1.5 million for co-financing of specific projects to promote sustainable development of inter-regional or national level.
The initiative is reserved to associations, cooperatives, institutions, foundations and non-governmental organizations in the field of environmental protection, with particular attention to the creation of public-private partnerships or associations between.
Criteria for evaluating projects
Projects will be centered on three areas: *
air quality and clean energy
* Valuation of biodiversity and waste collection
* Combating ecomafie
All 'inside of these three axes will be given priority projects related to different sectors: the first point, sustainable mobility, alternative energy, energy conservation, green building and ecoarchitettura, tourist exploitation of natural protected areas national, national protection and enhancement of habitats, learn about the sea, and the second, know the area, re-use of materials, quality collection, recovery and recycling of waste, for the third, the fight against eco-mafia. They will also be welcomed to all proposals that would genuinely aware of local institutions, public opinion and especially the younger ones on the complex environmental issues.
The projects, which will be selected through a tender procedure, will have a maximum duration of 12 months and should be sent to the Ministry of Environment by 17 December 2010 .
